Dear Emmaus Youth Association Families,
It has been an incredible honor to serve this community over the past seven years. After much reflection, I’ve decided that I will be stepping down as President of the Emmaus Youth Association at the end of this term in December. I’m sharing this now in hopes that new leaders—especially parents of the next generation of EYA athletes—will step forward to keep this amazing organization thriving.
When I attended my first EYA Board of Directors meeting in September 2018, I never imagined the journey ahead. From Softball Coordinator to Vice President to President, I’ve had the privilege of serving in many roles. Currently, in addition to my duties as President, I’m also managing responsibilities as webmaster, social media coordinator, field coordinator, and sponsorship/fundraising lead. These are all vital roles that will need to be filled as I transition out of the organization.
My time with EYA has been both meaningful and rewarding, and I hope my contributions have made a positive difference. Now, it’s time for others to step up, bring fresh energy and ideas, and continue building on what we've accomplished together.
I encourage you to attend an upcoming EYA Board Meeting to learn more about how you can get involved and help shape the future of youth sports in Emmaus.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve.
Warm regards,
Joe Kemmerer
EYA President
