Summer Basketball 2024 - Summer 2024

EYA offers a co-ed instructional program for students in grades K-2 for the 23-24 SY. The program provides an environment that focuses on the development of basic techniques, skills, teamwork, and fun. All program activities take place on weeknights during the month of July at the Williams Street Courts in Emmaus. The specific nights of the week and number of nights will be dependent on number of players enrolled. Registration ends for our instructional program on May 20th, 2024.

EYA offers a recreational program for students in grades 3-8 for the 23-24 SY. The program begins during the month of June and ends early August. Times and locations will be determined closer to summer. Practices are at the discretion of the coach and are not mandatory for summer basketball.  Participants are organized into teams by grade levels as follows: 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th, 7th & 8th. Our recreational program focuses on teamwork and skill development. These teams will play against other local youth associations. Players get close to equal playing time as substitutions every 5 minutes is mandatory. There will be both boys and girls teams. Registration ends for our recreational program on May 20th, 2024.

EYA will also be offering a competitive program for students entering grades 3-8 for the 24-25 SY. Our competitive program is a higher level of skill and competition than our recreational program. The focus of our competitive program is teamwork and advanced skill development. Depending on the number of players enrolled at each grade level, tryouts may be held and cuts may need to occur. If a player that is enrolled in this program is not selected for a competitive team, they have the option of playing in our recreational league. Competitive teams will be placed in a league with a high level of competition. Please note that a competitive player (either current or during this past winter) is not permitted to also participate in the summer recreational league. Players are not guaranteed playing time on a competitive roster. Registration ends for competitive basketball on April 19th, 2024.
